The Château Pontet-Canet Grand Cru Classé 2022 is a red wine made in the appellation Pauillac, located in the Médoc region, Bordeaux, France. Classified as Cinquième Grand Cru Classé in the 1855 classification, this wine is made from a blend of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot, with an alcohol content of 14.7%. The vinification involves the use of 50% new oak barrels, 35% amphorae and 15% used oak barrels. To the eye, it has an intense ruby red hue. On the nose, it expresses a refined bouquet with hints of ripe black fruit, spices and floral nuances. In the mouth, the wine is powerful and well balanced, with a nice good acidity and a long finish with good persistence.
