Lorenzo Accomasso, Barolo Riserva Annunziata 2011, Bottle 750 ml

75 lt Standard bottle
Lorenzo AccomassoYear 2011Type Rosso
The wine is made with 100% Nebbiolo grapes from the prestigious Rocche dell’Annunziata cru, located in the municipality of La Morra. The vineyards, with a prevalent southern exposure, are characterized by medium-clayey soils, ideal for giving elegance and complexity to the wine. Vinification follows traditional methods, with spontaneous fermentation and a long maceration on the skins. Aging takes place in large oak barrels for an extended period, allowing the wine to develop complex aromas and a harmonious structure. In the glass it has a light and bright garnet red hue. Hints of cherry, orange peel, tobacco, dried herbs and licorice emerge on the nose. In the mouth it is of great elegance, with present but fresh tannins, and a long and balsamic finish. This Barolo Riserva has considerable aging potential, promising a positive evolution in the years to come.

Lorenzo Accomasso

In the historic land of Barolo, in La Morra, the name of Lorenzo Accomasso has become legendary. A shy and reserved figure, but tied to his territory, Accomasso has dedicated his life to viticulture, working his vineyards with absolute dedication to produce authentic, pure and uncompromising wines. His winery, founded in the 50s, is one of the most artisanal and traditional realities of the Langhe, where time seems to have stopped to make room for an intimate and respectful interpretation of Nebbiolo. The vineyards, located in the best exposures of La Morra, rest on calcareous-clayey soils that give the wines depth and extraordinary longevity. The production philosophy has remained unchanged for decades: very low yields, long fermentations, prolonged aging in large oak barrels, without giving in to fashions or market trends.
