Giacomo Conterno’s Nebbiolo d’Alba “Vigna Arione” 2021 is a red wine of remarkable elegance, obtained in the renowned winery located in Monforte d’Alba, in the Piedmontese Langhe. Made from Nebbiolo grapes grown in the prestigious Arione vineyard, located in Serralunga d’Alba, this wine expresses the purity and finesse typical of the grape variety. The vines are grown on calcareous-clayey soils with south-west exposure, following traditional and environmentally friendly cultivation practices. Vinification involves fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature, followed by aging in large Slavonian oak barrels for a period adequate to enhance the varietal characteristics. In the glass, the wine has a brilliant ruby red hue with garnet reflections. The nose expresses a complex bouquet with hints of small red berries, violet and undergrowth, accompanied by light hints of balsamic herbs and oriental spices. in the mouth it is refined and deep, with a silky tannic texture and a long minerality of good persistence.
