Poggio di Sotto’s Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2018 is a wine of extraordinary elegance and complexity. The Sangiovese grapes come from selected vineyards, located on hillsides with optimal exposure. Vinification involves spontaneous fermentation in wooden vats, with a long maceration on the skins. Aging takes place for 60 months in Slavonian oak barrels, followed by a prolonged period in the bottle. Intense aromas of ripe fruit, balsamic hints, tobacco and spices emerge on the nose. In the mouth it is structured, with fine tannins and considerable depth, leading to a long and harmonious finish, making this wine suitable for long aging.
