The Castle of Montepò Schidione Il Millennio 1997, obtained by Jacopo Biondi Santi in the Tuscan Maremma, is a Supertuscan of great structure and complexity. Intense ruby hue with garnet reflections, it opens to the nose with a refined and complex bouquet characterized by hints of ripe black fruit, sweet spices, vanilla, leather and tobacco. in the mouth it is dry, with a soft but powerful attack, fleshy and rich in silkiness, supported by velvety tannins and a very long persistence. The 1997 vintage, considered one of the best of the last century, gives the wine a distinctive longevity and aromatic depth. Maturation takes place for 24 months in French oak barrels, followed by further refinement in the bottle, enhancing the balance between structure and finesse.
