Luigi Pira’s Barolo Vignarionda 2021 is an intense and robust red wine, an authentic expression of the most prestigious cru of Serralunga d’Alba. Intense garnet red in hue, the nose opens with complex hints of wild berries, cherry in alcohol, dark spices, sweet tobacco and deep balsamic hints. in the mouth it is rich, harmonious and structured, with chiseled tannins and an extraordinary persistence that results in a long, mineral and savory finish. The aging of 24 months, the first of which in French oak barrels and the second in large Slavonian oak barrels, gives elegance and depth to this organic Barolo DOCG, obtained with Nebbiolo grapes selected from limestone-clay vineyards facing south-west at an altitude of 330 meters.
