Gaja, Barbaresco Sorì Tildin 2014, Bottle 750 ml

Gaja’s Barbaresco “Sorì Tildin” 2014 is a red wine of extraordinary elegance, obtained in the Gaja winery in Barbaresco, in the heart of the Piedmontese Langhe. Made from Nebbiolo grapes grown in the Sorì Tildin vineyard, this Barbaresco stands out for its finesse and complexity. The vines are grown on calcareous-clayey soils with southern exposure, following sustainable cultivation methods. Vinification involves fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature, with maceration on the skins for about 20 days, followed by aging for 12 months in barriques and a further 12 months in large oak barrels. In the glass, the wine has a ruby red hue tending to garnet. The nose expresses a complex bouquet with hints of ripe fruit, violet, balsamic hints and spices. In the mouth it is harmonious and refined, with polished tannins and a pleasant good acidity, closing with a long finish and good persistence.
