Bartolo Mascarello’s Barolo Etichetta Dipinta 2013 is a classic expression of Nebbiolo, obtained from vineyards located in the prestigious crus of Cannubi, San Lorenzo, Rué and Rocche dell’Annunziata. Fermentation takes place in cement tanks, followed by aging for about 32 months in large Slavonian oak barrels. The 2013 vintage is distinguished by a lively garnet red hue; aromas of berries, ripe cherry emerge on the nose, accompanied by hints of wood and spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg. In the mouth it reveals a strong character, with enveloping tannins and a pleasant persistence, ideal in combination with important meats, game and structured first courses.
