Luigi Pira, Nebbiolo Langhe 2023, Bottle 750 ml

Luigi Pira’s Langhe Nebbiolo 2023 is a red wine that expresses the good acidity and immediacy of young Nebbiolo. obtained in the winery located in Serralunga d’Alba, in the Piedmontese Langhe, it comes from vineyards cultivated on limestone-clay soils, following traditional and environmentally friendly practices. Vinification takes place in horizontal fermenters at a controlled temperature for about 10-15 days, followed by an aging of 12 months divided between small barrels (barriques and tonneaux) and large Slavonian oak barrels. Fruity, spicy hints and light hints of leather emerge on the nose. In the mouth it is soft and enveloping, with sweet, fine tannins and good persistence, making it ideal in combination with pasta dishes with meat sauce, red meats and risottos with a strong taste.
