The 2020 Amarone della Valpolicella Antonio Castagnedi, obtained from Tenuta Sant’Antonio, is a red wine of great character from the renowned Veneto region. It has an intense ruby red hue with garnet reflections. The nose highlights complex aromas of ripe red fruits such as black cherry and plum, accompanied by spicy hints of black pepper, licorice and a balsamic hint of tobacco and damp earth. In the mouth it is full-bodied, warm and velvety, with soft and well-integrated tannins, balanced by a pleasant good acidity and flavor. The long aging in barriques gives delicate hints of chocolate and vanilla, enriching the structure and the finish with good persistence.
