Galatrona 2020 is one of Italy’s most iconic pure Merlots, obtained from the Petrolo Estate in Tuscany. The grapes come from old vines grown on organically managed clayey-limestone soils. After manual harvesting, the wine ferments in cement tanks, followed by aging in French oak barrels for about 18 months. The nose is rich and complex, with aromas of cherries, plums, cocoa and sweet spices. In the mouth it is enveloping and soft, with silky tannins and a long and harmonious finish. Perfect to accompany meat dishes, roasts and aged cheeses.
