Born from the collaboration between Frescobaldi and the Prison Institute of the Island of Gorgona, this white wine is made from Vermentino and Ansonica grapes grown on two hectares of vineyards located in a natural amphitheater overlooking the sea. The 2022 harvest, the eleventh for this project, celebrates the extraordinary biodiversity of the island, depicting the orchids that bloom there on the label. In the glass, the wine shows a straw yellow hue with golden reflections and a crystalline brilliance. On the nose, it is an explosion of aromas of Mediterranean flora, with white and yellow flowers such as daisy, chamomile, hawthorn, mimosa and broom. In the mouth, it is fresh and savory, with a pleasant acidity and a long persistence. It goes perfectly with fish and shellfish dishes. This wine represents not only the uniqueness of the territory, but also a symbol of hope and freedom for the inmates involved in the project.
