Bocca di Lupo Estate – Tormaresca, Chardonnay Castel del Monte Pietrabianca 2023, Bottle 750 ml

Tormaresca’s Pietrabianca 2023 is a refined white obtained from the Bocca di Lupo Estate, located in the Castel del Monte DOC, in Puglia. Composed of 90% Chardonnay and 10% Fiano, this wine stands out for its complexity and good acidity. The grapes, grown according to organic practices, are harvested in the early hours of the morning to preserve their aromas. After a soft pressing, the Chardonnay must ferments in French and Hungarian oak barrels, where it also undergoes malolactic fermentation and a six-month aging; Fiano, on the other hand, ferments in steel at 16°C to enhance its good acidity. The result is a wine with a bright yellow hue with greenish reflections, which on the nose expresses hints of white fruit, cantaloupe melon, orange and lime, accompanied by delicate floral nuances of hawthorn and acacia, and lively hints of vanilla and white chocolate. in the mouth, Pietrabianca is delicate, with good acidity and verticality, closing with a pleasantly mineral finish, typical of the soils of the Bocca di Lupo Estate. It goes perfectly with fish or meat first courses, haute cuisine fish, white meat dishes and semi-aged cheeses.
