Elio Grasso, Barolo Ginestra Casa Maté 2020, Bottle 750 ml

Elio Grasso’s Barolo “Ginestra Casa Maté” 2020 is a red wine obtained in Monforte d’Alba, in the Piedmontese Langhe. The Nebbiolo grapes come from the Ginestra vineyard, located at an altitude of 300-350 meters above sea level, with southern exposure and calcareous soils tending to clayey. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with daily pumping over, followed by malolactic fermentation. Aging takes place in 25-hectoliter Slavonian oak barrels for 24 months, followed by a rest in the bottle for 8-10 months. The nose has a broad and intense bouquet with hints of red fruit, dried flowers, mint, spices and undergrowth. in the mouth it is robust and structured, with delicate tannins and a finish of good persistence.
