Gaja, Barolo Conteisa 2015, Bottle 750 ml
Gaja’s Barolo “Conteisa” 2015 is a red wine of great elegance, obtained in the Gaja winery located in Barbaresco, in the Piedmontese Langhe. The name “Conteisa” refers to the historical dispute for the possession of the Cerequio vineyard, from which the Nebbiolo grapes used for this wine come. The vines are grown on sandy soils rich in blue marl, with southern exposure, following traditional cultivation practices. Vinification involves fermentation in stainless steel, followed by aging for at least 24 months in barriques and large barrels. In the glass, the wine has an intense garnet red hue. The nose expresses aromas of ripe red fruit, spices and floral hints. in the mouth it is powerful, with soft tannins and a finish of good persistence.
