The Krug Grande Cuvée 171ème Édition is a Champagne obtained by the prestigious House of Krug, located in Reims, in the Champagne region. This unique blend consists of 131 wines from 12 different vintages, with the youngest being in 2015 and the oldest being in 2000. The cuvée consists of 45% Pinot Noir, 37% Chardonnay and 18% Meunier. After aging for about seven years in Krug’s cellars, it has a golden hue and fine, lively bubbles. Aromas of blooming flowers, ripe and dried fruit, marzipan and gingerbread emerge on the nose. in the mouth it expresses hints of hazelnut, nougat, fruit jelly, citrus fruits, almonds, brioche and honey, with an extraordinary richness and persistence. Every year, the House of Krug recreates its Grande Cuvée, the most generous expression of Champagne, regardless of the annual climatic variations.
