Poggio di Sotto’s Brunello di Montalcino 2018 is an authentic expression of Sangiovese grown in the hills of Montalcino. The vineyards, located at different altitudes, benefit from an ideal microclimate for the ripening of the grapes. Fermentation takes place spontaneously in wooden vats, with extensive maceration to best extract the aromatic components. Aging includes 48 months in Slavonian oak barrels, followed by an adequate period in the bottle. On the nose, hints of red fruit, aromatic herbs, spices and a hint of leather stand out. In the mouth it is harmonious, with a balanced structure, soft tannins and a finish of good persistence, which make it a wine of great finesse and longevity.
