Grillo “Mozia” 2022 – Whitaker Estate (Tasca d’Almerita) The white “Mozia” 2022 was born in the Whitaker Estate in Tasca d’Almerita, on the island of Mozia (Stagnone di Marsala, Sicily). It derives from organically managed Grillo vines and sapling training, rooted in sandy and calcareous soils that are not irrigated. The grapes, harvested by hand, travel on small boats to the mainland to be vinified at Tenuta Regaleali. Fermented in steel at a controlled temperature and aged on the lees for five months, it is straw yellow with greenish echoes. The bouquet ranges from broom and lemongrass to notes of anise and white pepper. In the mouth it is vibrant and savory, closing with a saline trail typical of its marine environment.
