Chavy-Chouet’s Pommard Les Chanlins 1er Cru 2021 is a fine Pinot Noir from the Côte de Beaune, Burgundy. The Chavy-Chouet estate, based in Meursault, boasts a generational legacy in Burgundian wine production. The cru “Les Chanlins” is located on a steep and stony slope, near the village of Volnay, characterized by clayey-calcareous soils that give the wine a distinctive flavor. The grapes are harvested by hand and vinified in cement vats, with a maturation period in French oak barrels for approximately 12 months. On the nose, the wine releases fragrant and soft essences of berries, such as strawberries and raspberries, with delicate nuances of cocoa and coffee. On the palate, it is harmonious and full-bodied, with elegant tannins and a long-lasting aftertaste. It goes ideally with game dishes, baked meats and aged cheeses.
