Chavy-Chouet, Puligny-Montrachet Les Champs Gain 1er Cru 2021, Magnum 1500 ml

Produced by the Chavy-Chouet estate, nestled in the heart of Burgundy, this white wine originates from the Premier Cru “Les Champs Gain”, in the territory of Puligny-Montrachet. The vineyards extend to an altitude of about 300 meters above sea level, characterized by soils rich in white pebbles and limestone. The Chardonnay grapes, harvested by hand, are gently pressed. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in French oak barrels, with an incidence of 25-30% of new barrels. Maturation on the fine lees lasts for about 11 months in barriques, followed by a further period of 7 months in stainless steel containers. In the glass, the wine sports a bright straw yellow hue. On the nose, it releases floral aromas of honey and vanilla. On the palate, it stands out for its finesse and elegance, with nuances of fresh and lively citrus fruits that turn into hints of well-ripe yellow-fleshed fruit. The minerality and freshness give the wine a harmonious structure and a prolonged finish.
