The Aglianico del Vulture La Firma 2017 from Cantine del Notaio is a red wine of great character, an authentic expression of the Lucanian territory. Produced with 100% Aglianico del Vulture grapes, the harvest takes place in the second and third decade of October. Vinification involves maceration for about 10 days and fermentation in steel. The wine matures for at least 12 months in second-passage French oak barriques and tonneaux, inside natural volcanic tuff caves. In the glass, it has an intense ruby red color; notes of black cherry, plum, raspberry, pomegranate, blueberry, blackberry, violet, chocolate, tobacco, vanilla and mint are perceived on the nose. On the palate it is savory, fresh and tannic, with hints of cherry, black cherry, blackberry and plum; The finish is persistent, with notes of licorice root.
