Castello di Ama Chianti Classico Ama 2022 is a Tuscan red wine that has an intense ruby red hue. The nose expresses elegant aromas of ripe red fruits, cherry, currant and floral hints of violet, accompanied by delicate spicy nuances and minerality. In the mouth it is harmonious and fresh, with velvety tannins and a medium-bodied structure balanced by a lively acidity, which gives the wine a long and pleasant persistence. Vinification takes place with indigenous yeasts and a maturation in barrique of at least 12 months, thus enhancing the characteristics of Sangiovese with a small addition of Merlot to give softness and complexity. The 2022 vintage benefits from a favorable microclimate, with altitudes between 460 and 525 meters above sea level and clayey-calcareous soils, which contribute to the balance and finesse of the obtained.

Its modern history begins in the 70s, when a group of enlightened families, led by Lorenza Sebasti and Marco Pallanti, decided to revive this medieval village with an ambitious vision: to produce wines that express the purest essence of the territory. The vineyards, located at an altitude between 450 and 550 meters, enjoy a perfect microclimate, with strong temperature variations that give the Sangiovese and Merlot grapes an extraordinary finesse and elegance. The terroir is unique, with soils rich in marl and alberese that give the wines complexity and longevity.
