Luigi Pira, Barolo Serralunga 2020, Bottle 750 ml

Obtained from the Luigi Pira winery, located in Serralunga d’Alba in the heart of the Langhe, the Barolo Serralunga 2020 is a red wine of great elegance and structure. The Nebbiolo grapes come from vineyards with south/south-west exposure, planted between 1959 and 1995 on calcareous-clayey soils at an altitude of 320 meters above sea level. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for about 18-20 days, followed by traditional aging in 25-30 hl Slavonian oak barrels for 24 months. In the glass it has garnet tones with orange reflections. The nose expresses a complex bouquet with hints of leather, hay, earth and spices. In the mouth it is balanced, with a good harmony between acidity and tannins, giving softness and a long persistence. Ideal in combination with meat dishes, game and aged cheeses.
