Domaine de l’Iserand – Saint-Joseph “Lou Taïssou” 2022 The Saint-Joseph “Lou Taïssou” 2022 by Domaine de l’Iserand is a pure and organic interpretation of Syrah from the northern Rhône. The vines sink their roots into the characteristic schist soils of the area. The vinification is artisanal: manual harvesting and fermentation in cement tanks with an important use of the whole bunch. Aging also continues in cement, preserving the integrity of the fruit. It is deep ruby red. The nose is a reference to the earth and the Mediterranean scrub, with hints of black olive (pulp and leaves), tobacco and smoked spices. The sip is pulpy and snappy, where vibrant acidity dialogues with fine tannins, giving a juicy drinkability. Despite its complexity, it maintains a low alcohol content that enhances its versatility at the table.
