Chavy-Chouet, Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 1er Cru 2023, Bottle 750 ml

Made by the famous Chavy-Chouet maison, the 750ml Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières Premier Cru 2023 embodies the quintessence of the great whites of Burgundy, France. This pure Chardonnay comes from grapes grown in the famous cru “Les Folatières”, the largest in Puligny-Montrachet, famous for giving life to some of the most opulent wines in the area. The vineyards, planted in 1950, develop on soils rich in limestone, giving the wine a unique structure and complexity. Vinification takes place with fermentation in oak barrels, followed by an aging of 11 months in barriques, of which 25-30% are new, and a further 7 months in stainless steel, so as to balance the aromas and maintain the liveliness of the wine. In the glass, it is distinguished by its bright golden yellow color, crossed by delicate green reflections. The nose releases an articulated aroma of fresh and ripe fruit, with hints of mirabella and vanilla. In the mouth it is ample and generous, but always refined and elegant, with a remarkable balance and persistence.
