Obtained from the renowned winery Domaine Armand Rousseau, located in Gevrey-Chambertin in the Côte de Nuits, the Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru “Les Cazetiers” 2020 is a pure Pinot Noir from the prestigious Les Cazetiers climat. This 8.4-hectare vineyard is characterized by clayey-limestone soils and a south-east exposure, which favor optimal ripening of the grapes. Traditional vinification involves fermentation in stainless steel tanks and aging for about 18 months in French oak barrels, with a percentage of new wood that varies depending on the vintage. The wine has a brilliant ruby red hue; aromas of wild berries, plums, cherries, warm spices, licorice, black truffle and earthy hints emerge on the nose. In the mouth it is medium-bodied, broad and gourmand, with lively acidity, soft tannins and a long, fragrant finish. A Premier Cru that expresses with elegance and complexity the distinctive characteristics of the terroir of Les Cazetiers.
