The Cantine Olivella Vipt Vesuvio Rosso 2023 is a red wine made from 100% Piedirosso grapes grown on the volcanic soils of Monte Somma, near Vesuvius. In the glass it has an intense and luminous ruby hue, while the nose expresses a delicately aromatic bouquet with hints of red and black fruits, spices and a slight hint of smoke that recalls volcanic soil. In the mouth it stands out for its balanced structure, with soft and velvety tannins, good acidity and aromatic persistence, making it a refined wine with character. The 2023 vintage gives good acidity and liveliness to this wine that expresses well the unique terroir of the Vesuvius PDO area.
