Chavy-Chouet, Puligny-Montrachet Les Champs Gain 1er Cru 2021, Double magnum 3000 ml
Chavy-Chouet’s Puligny-Montrachet Les Champs Gain 1er Cru 2021 is a fine white wine label, the result of the work of a renowned family-run business based in the Burgundy region of France. This wine is a pure expression of Chardonnay grapes, grown in the renowned “Les Champs Gain” climate, awarded the Premier Cru rank. The vineyard extends in the upper portion of the Puligny-Montrachet slope, on a calcareous soil characterized by excellent drainage. The 2021 vintage was marked by a reduced production, due to adverse weather conditions, which nevertheless allowed the ripening of grapes of considerable value, with excellent acidity. The winemaking process includes an alcoholic fermentation conducted in French oak barrels, followed by a period of maturation on the lees lasting approximately 12 months. During this phase, periodic bâtonnage operations are carried out, aimed at intensifying the aromatic richness and consistency of the wine. Visually, the wine sports a bright straw yellow hue. On the nose, a refined scent of white flowers, citrus fruits, mineral hints and a subtle toasted note is released, a legacy of aging in wood. On the palate, the wine is lively and refreshing, supported by a solid structure and a persistent, savory finish. This Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru goes beautifully with fish, seafood and white meat preparations accompanied by light seasonings.
