François Carillon’s Mâcon-Villages Blanc 2021 ennobles the appellation with the touch of a great producer. From vineyards in Mâcon-Igé comes a Chardonnay that combines the roundness of wood (fermentation in barrels) with the freshness of limestone. White peach and flowers dominate the nose, while the mouth is soft but supported by a pleasant chalky minerality.
