Gaja, Barolo Sperss 2013, Bottle 750 ml

Vinification involves fermentation in steel, followed by aging for 12 months in barriques and a further 12 months in large oak barrels. The wine has an intense garnet red hue; hints of red fruit, spices, licorice and tobacco emerge on the nose. in the mouth it is powerful and refined, with dense tannins and a finish of good persistence. Ideal in combination with red meats, game and aged cheeses.
