Gaia & Rey 2022 – Gaja An iconic Chardonnay that comes from the historic vineyards of Treiso (1979), on calcareous-clayey soils. Vinification involves passages in steel and wood, followed by 18 months in barriques that give complexity. The golden glass with green reflections anticipates an exotic and refined nose: bergamot, lemongrass and mango intertwine with notes of acacia and a slight smoky toasting. On the palate the creaminess is balanced by a solid structure, where alcohol and wood integrate perfectly with the spicy minerality.
