Giacomo Conterno, Barolo Arione 2018, Bottle 750 ml

Giacomo Conterno’s Barolo “Arione” 2018 is a red wine obtained in the Arione vineyard, located in the municipality of Serralunga d’Alba, in the Piedmontese Langhe. The Nebbiolo grapes come from older vines, grown on calcareous soils with southern exposure. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by a long maceration on the skins. Aging takes place in large oak barrels for a prolonged period, in order to ensure complexity and balance to the wine. Intense aromas of red fruit, licorice, tobacco and spices are perceived on the nose. In the mouth it is structured, with robust tannins, good acidity and a finish of good persistence and harmonious.
