Giovanni Rosso, Barolo Serra 2018, Bottle 750 ml

Giovanni Rosso’s Barolo Serra 2018 is an authentic and refined expression of Nebbiolo from one of the most prestigious crus of Serralunga d’Alba. The vineyards, located on calcareous soils with south-west exposure, guarantee grapes of the highest quality. After manual harvesting, fermentation takes place in steel with maceration on the skins for about 25 days. Aging takes place in large oak barrels for 24 months, followed by a further period in the bottle. On the nose there are intense aromas of cherry, plum, dried rose, licorice and subtle spiciness. In the mouth it is full, with robust and well-integrated tannins, accompanied by a good balanced acidity that prolongs the finish, rich in earthy and balsamic nuances. This Barolo is perfect in combination with game dishes, braised meats and aged cheeses.
