Jermann, Ribolla gialla Vinnae 2022, Bottle 750 ml

Jermann’s “Vinnae” 2022 is a white wine from Friuli Venezia Giulia made mainly from Ribolla Gialla grapes, with the addition of small percentages of Friulano and Riesling Renano. The vines are grown on marly and arenaceous soils typical of the area, which give the wine a marked minerality. The manual harvest is followed by a short maceration on the skins and fermentation in steel at a controlled temperature. A part of the wine ages for 6 months in Slavonian oak barrels, while the remaining part matures in steel tanks, contributing to a balance between good acidity and complexity. In the glass it has a bright straw yellow hue. Fruity aromas of green apple, citrus and white flowers emerge on the nose, accompanied by mineral and herbaceous hints. in the mouth it is dry, fresh and savory, with a pleasant acidity that enhances its drinkability. Medium-bodied, it expresses a harmonious finish with good persistence. Excellent as an aperitif, it goes well with seafood appetizers and fish-based first courses.
