Livio Felluga, Illivio 2017, Magnum 1500 ml
Illivio 2017 by Livio Felluga is a white wine produced by the Livio Felluga winery, located in the Colli Orientali del Friuli, in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Created in 1998 by Livio Felluga’s sons on the occasion of his eighty-fifth birthday, this wine is a blend of Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and a native white variety. The vines are trained in Guyot on soils composed of marl and sandstone of Eocene origin. The harvest takes place manually in the second ten days of September. After a delicate destemming and a short maceration, the grapes are softly pressed and the must ferments at a controlled temperature in small French oak barrels, where it matures for ten months on the lees. In the glass, it has a deep straw yellow color. On the nose, it offers an intense and elegant bouquet, with notes of pineapple, lime and acacia flowers, rose, iris and orange blossom, evolving towards hints of lemon balm, vanilla and candied fruit. On the palate, it is compact and enveloping, with hints of exotic fruit, nashi and cream; Soft and full, it releases constantly evolving sensations during tasting, with a persistent and pleasant aftertaste.
