Luigi Pira, Barolo Vignarionda 2020, Bottle 750 ml

Luigi Pira’s Barolo “Vignarionda” 2020 is a red wine of great character, obtained in the Luigi Pira winery located in Serralunga d’Alba, in the heart of the Piedmontese Langhe. Made from Nebbiolo grapes from the prestigious Vignarionda vineyard, this Barolo stands out for its structure and depth. The vines are grown on calcareous-clayey soils with south-west exposure, following sustainable cultivation practices that respect the environment. Vinification involves a traditional fermentation with maceration on the skins for about 15-20 days, followed by an aging of 24 months in large Slavonian oak barrels. The wine has an intense garnet red hue. The nose expresses a complex bouquet with hints of ripe red fruit, spices, tobacco and hints of leather. In the mouth it is full and enveloping, with robust but balanced tannins and a long persistence, highlighting a perfect balance between power and elegance.
