The Nervi-Conterno Gattinara Vigna Molsino 2019 is a Piedmontese red wine of great structure and character, made with Nebbiolo grapes from the prestigious Molsino vineyard, a south-facing cru in the Gattinara area. In the glass it has an intense and deep ruby red hue. The nose reveals complex hints of dark red fruits, such as blackberry and cherry, accompanied by hints of smoke, incense, licorice and light nuances of leather and earth. The palate is powerful and of good persistence, with elegant and well-integrated tannins, which give the wine a refined and velvety structure. The 2019 vintage expresses a balance between good acidity and depth, with a long, spicy finish that invites aging. Traditional vinification involves long fermentations and aging for several years in neutral wood barrels, according to the historical philosophy of the Nervi-Conterno winery.
