Nervi-Conterno, Gattinara Vigna Valferana 2020, 750 ml Bottle

Nervi-Conterno’s Gattinara Vigna Valferana 2020 is a red wine of great depth and elegance, obtained in Gattinara, in Alto Piemonte. Made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, from the Valferana vineyard, located at about 320 meters above sea level, on soils of volcanic origin rich in iron and manganese. Vinification involves fermentation in oak vats and cement tanks, followed by 48 months of aging in large oak barrels, with a further 6 months in cement and 6 months in the bottle. In the glass, it has a brilliant ruby red hue. On the nose, hints of dried rose, red currant, incense and white pepper emerge. in the mouth, it is taut and vertical, with a good vibrant acidity and a marked flavor, closing with a long finish and good persistence.
