The Barrua 2020 is a red wine made from a blend of Carignano, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes grown in the vineyards of the Sulcis region. Vinification involves fermentation in stainless steel, followed by aging for 18 months in French oak barrels and a further 12 months in the bottle. In the glass it has an intense ruby red hue. The nose expresses a complex bouquet with hints of ripe berries, sweet spices, licorice and light balsamic nuances. in the mouth it is structured, soft and enveloping, with velvety tannins and a long persistence. Ideal in combination with red meats, game and aged cheeses. This wine is one of the most prestigious expressions of Sardinian viticulture.

Agricola Punica was founded in 2002 from a project that brings together some leading figures in Italian oenology, from Giacomo Tachis to Sebastiano Rosa, together with Tenuta San Guido and the Cantina Sociale di Santadi. In the heart of Sulcis, between sea winds, intense light and sandy and clayey soils rich in minerals, the winery finds an ideal context for deep and structured wines. The work is mainly oriented towards the enhancement of Carignano del Sulcis, flanked by Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. The result is intense, elegant and long-lived reds, capable of clearly telling the character of the Sardinian territory.
