Tenuta del Priore’s Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Col del Mondo Kerrias 2019 is a red wine that best expresses the character of the famous Montepulciano grape variety, grown in the Abruzzo region. The 2019 vintage has an intense ruby red hue, with complex aromas that combine hints of ripe red fruit, spicy hints and light nuances of roasted coffee due to aging in barriques. in the mouth it is balanced, with soft but firm tannins, structured body and a pleasant aromatic persistence. Fermentation takes place in steel with prolonged maceration and aging for 12 months in French barriques, 30% of which are new, gives the wine hints of vanilla and sweet spices, without overpowering the good acidity typical of Montepulciano. Tenuta del Priore is committed to the enhancement of the Abruzzo territory, cultivating selected vineyards in suitable areas such as Collecorvino, at 250 meters above sea level, with methods respectful of local tradition and attention to quality.
