Obtained from the Fontodi Estate in the heart of Chianti Classico, the Flaccianello della Pieve 2020 is a pure Sangiovese. The grapes come from vineyards located in the “Conca d’Oro” of Panzano, characterized by marl soils and an ideal microclimate. Spontaneous fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by 24 months of aging in new French oak barrels and a further 10 months in the bottle. On the nose there are intense aromas of berries, currants and raspberries, accompanied by floral hints and sweet spices. In the mouth it is full and vigorous, with well-polished tannins and a lively good acidity, offering a long finish with good persistence.
