Bartolo Mascarello’s Barolo 2012 is a red wine of remarkable finesse, obtained in the Piedmontese Langhe. Made with selected Nebbiolo grapes from prestigious vineyards located in the best areas of Barolo, such as Cannubi, San Lorenzo, Rué and Rocche, grown on calcareous-clayey soils. The vinification respects the family tradition, with fermentation in cement tanks and a prolonged maceration on the skins, followed by an aging of about 36 months in large Slavonian oak barrels. On the nose, refined aromas of dried flowers, ripe red fruit, spices and light ethereal hints stand out. in the mouth it is balanced, with elegant tannins, good structure and a long and harmonious finish, which testifies to the aging capacity and excellence of traditional Barolos.
