Le Macchiole Messorio 2021 is a red wine of great personality obtained in the renowned area of Tuscany, with particular reference to the Toscana IGT appellation. Made from 100% Merlot grapes, this wine has an intense and deep hue. The nose reveals fruity hints of plum, pomegranate and blackberry, enriched with hints of vanilla and toasting deriving from the aging of 18 months in new barriques. In the mouth it stands out for its balanced structure, with present but velvety tannins, accompanied by elegant spicy and tobacco accents, which enhance its complexity and length. The 2021 vintage confirms Le Macchiole’s ability to produce a Merlot with character, less opulent than in the past but endowed with a refined sensuality and depth characteristic of the Tuscan Maremma territory.
