Marchesi Antinori, Solaia 2021, Bottle 750 ml

The 2021 Solaia is a red wine obtained by the Marchesi Antinori in the Tignanello Estate, located in Chianti Classico, Tuscany. This Toscana IGT is made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc, grown in a south-west facing vineyard between 350 and 400 meters above sea level, on soils rich in alberese and marl. The grapes, harvested manually, are selected before fermentation in 60 hl truncated conical tanks, with maceration designed to maximize aromas and structure. Malolactic fermentation takes place in barriques, followed by aging for about 16 months in new French oak and subsequent maturation in the bottle. In the glass, the hue is deep ruby red with violet reflections. The bouquet is complex, with hints of blackcurrant, blackberry and plum, enriched with balsamic hints of myrtle and spices such as white pepper, together with nuances of cocoa, licorice and vanilla. in the mouth it is rich, refined and vibrant, with silky tannins and a long finish with good persistence with hints of dark chocolate.
